Tables List

tables_list MCP

Agent that lists BigQuery table families with condensed values

List all tables families with condensed values over the entire datamodel, plus every table of the project's editable catalog. text_filters narrows the list to the families matching at least one of its plain-words descriptions, in the same shape.

POST
item
text_filters

Tables to keep, described in plain words, e.g. "logs tables in 2026", "latest crawl of 2026" or "Google Search Console table". A table family is returned, with all its extract values, when it matches at least one of them. Leave empty to list every table.

Credits

Fixed cost per item requested. Listing tables reads only catalogue metadata, so the data scanned is negligible and the result is cached for a couple of minutes. With text_filters, every table is judged by ai_decisions_gateway, billed on top at its own rates.

These usage SKUs can be charged on a call, including SKUs from tools this one may call.

SKU Credits Description Used by
Tool call 1 per request Charged once per successful item, on top of any usage below.
  • This tool
Data scanned 6,250 per TiB scanned Analytical queries are billed on the volume of data the query reads, not on the rows it returns: a narrow filter over a large table can still scan the whole table.
  • This tool
GPT-6 Luna (Decisions) (standard), input 100 per million tokens Tokens the model reads from the prompt you send.
